This park is great for picnics because there are lots of shady trees right next to the carpark. You can even lay your picnic mat right next to your car to make things easy. There’s a lovely trail, also with lots of shady trees and a post-war military site that you can explore, complete with artillery pieces, underground tunnels and machine gun posts. The tunnels are locked up but at least you get to see how it looks like from the outside.
It is also right next to the sea with vantage places to fish, barbecue pits and a playground. Do note that it is not a good place to fly kites unless you fancy the idea of climbing up the trees to take down your kite!
The nature reserve itself is open till 7pm, while the free area right next to the sea is open 24 hours.
